On Ludington

Losing my first tooth after my uncle practically yanked it out of my head, nearly tipping the Polaris Ranger after riding on a slanted hill, and flying forward on the four-wheeler after my friend had slammed on the breaks for no apparent reason were some rather funny, scary, and unforgettable memories. Not only did I treasure these types of moments at my Up North cabin, but I also absolutely cherished the starry nights, catching lightning bugs during the first weeks of summer, cornhole (or what I liked to call “bean bag toss”) with my family after a beach day, and my astonishment for the breathtaking spiders and their well-woven webs hanging out on the deck. Having these memories are what had truly helped me wrap my head around just how incredible Ludington is, even before meeting its enchanting charm. Ludington is my second home, and it's a place I think that everybody needs the opportunity to know.

If I could spend just one day in the life of little me to experience the happiness I'd felt Up North through young eyes, I'd take that chance in a heartbeat. No arrangement of words could describe Ludington's true beauty, but it can't hurt to capture some of it.
